Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)
We are one of just three schools in the UK to be awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) - a formal collaboration with the School of Education at the University of Southampton.
The project aims to design and implement a holistic educational model for girls with complex special educational needs. This model will broaden and enhance the curriculum for the girls to address both their educational needs and their social exclusion.
Working with a Research Associate based at Serendipity, we are hoping that the Teaching Model will be introduced to other schools.
KTP brings great benefit to its local community and it is estimated that our approach - taking best practice from industry and coupling it with outstanding teaching methods - will also result in saving the local economy an estimated £2.5 million over three years.
You can read more about the KTP in our newsletters.
